Who is yoga teacher training for?
Yoga Teacher Training is for anyone who has experienced the profound benefits yoga can bring to one’s life and wanting to experience more of these benefits physically, philosophically, and emotionally.
What if I am not interested in teaching?
This program will qualify you to be an inspiring, safe and effective teacher, however, many students enroll solely for their own personal development. Tools learned during this program will enable you to gain greater fulfillment from your yoga practice and your life.
How long is the program?
Program lengths is four months if all 3 modules are completed back to back. The 3 modules can be stretched over a maximum of two years though if desired. Our programs are designed with your busy schedules in mind. Dive deeply into the study and practice of yoga while still being able to maintain your commitments to your work, family, schooling and other activities.

What is the Yoga Alliance?
Yoga Alliance registers both individual yoga teachers and yoga teacher training programs (schools) who have complied with educational standards established by the organization.
Their mission is to lead the yoga community, set standards, foster integrity, provide resources, and uphold the teachings of yoga. Although registration with the Yoga Alliance is not legally required for teaching yoga, most studios and fitness centers will require teachers to be registered with the Yoga Alliance.
All Studio DC Teacher Training graduates are automatically eligible for Yoga Alliance registration.

When I graduate from The Studio DC’s 200 Hour Teacher Training program will I be ready to teach?
Upon completion of our 200 hour program, you will have the necessary foundation to begin your teaching career. Your ability to teach will be influenced by how long you have been practicing yoga, your dedication to the program, and your comfort level with teaching. You will also be eligible to teach at The Studio DC.
Are Payment Plans available?
Yes! Finances should never be the limiting factor when embarking on a journey that you are passionate about. Please contact us at email@example.com to help us create a payment plan that suits your individual needs.
When does the tuition need to be paid off?
The full amount of tuition for the 200 hour program is due by the time you graduate.
What if I have to miss a day?
If you miss 1-2 days: You may still complete the program with your class provided that you schedule a private session (or group session) with an Assistant Trainer at some point during the training. A two-hour private session equates to one day in the intensive. The cost of a private session is $100 per hour.
Two make up sessions is the maximum number of privates one can schedule.
If you miss 3-4 days/1 weekend: You will not be able to complete the program with your class, and you will need to make up the classes in a subsequent training. You may sign up for the weekend missed in a subsequent training.
Do I get free yoga classes with my teacher training?
All students registered in the 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training Program will receive a 10 class pass for every module,30 classes in total, valid at all Studio DC locations, for the duration of their training.
What is Continuing Education?
It is a Yoga Alliance Requirement that in order to maintain your status as a registered yoga teacher, you must participate in continuing education.
The Studio DC has lots to offer! Our Continuing Education courses cover all aspects of yoga from philosophy to advanced asana. Refine your teaching skills, and develop a creative edge for your own practice and your students. Master teachers from around the globe including Bryan Kest, Ana Forrest, Donna Farhi, Cameron Shayne, Natasha Rizopoulos, Eoin Finn, Micheline Berry, Jason Crandell, Tiffany Cruikshank Chris Tompkins, and many more are included in our Studio DC programs to bring you fresh inspiration and in depth learning.
How to apply
* Secure your place with a non-refundable deposit of $150 for level 1 or $500 for the full 200 Hours certification, along with your application.
* The deposit will be applied to the total of your tuition.
* Required readings & book costs, Master Teachers workshops are not included in the tuition.
* Applications will be responded to within 3-5 business days.

* Foundational knowledge of fundamental asanas and basic alignment
* Current 1.5 student by Studio DC standards; or interview with the training director
* Maturity and a willingness to learn
* Constructive disposition and responding well to groups and learning sessions
* Commitment to attend all training sessions.
* Hours/days missed may be made up during the training at additional fees. Exceptions may be made for illnesses or extenuation life circumstances. Prior approval must be granted by the training director.
